A note from the founder
There are a lot of research-peptide suppliers in the world. Most ship from overseas, sometimes get held by customs, sometimes arrive contaminated, sometimes don't arrive at all. Quality varies wildly. Lab reports - if they exist - are often supplied by the same lab as the peptide, which is no test at all.
We built Black & White Peptides Ltd to be the opposite of that.
UK-registered company. Stock held in the UK, dispatched same day. Every batch independently tested by Janoshik Analytical - an unaffiliated third-party lab in the Czech Republic that we don't own, don't pay extra to keep happy, and don't influence. Where a Janoshik report has been issued for the batch, it ships with the order along with a verification code you can match against the published record. If your batch's COA doesn't match the verified record, full refund - no questions.
That's the whole offer. The rest of this page is the longer version of how we got there.
The first time I tried to source research-grade peptides for a project, I learned the hard way how unregulated this market actually is. The order - from one of the well-known overseas suppliers - sat in customs for nineteen days, then arrived with the wrong compound printed on the vial label. The "lab report" included with it was on the supplier's own letterhead, signed by their own in-house chemist. No independent test, no batch number traceable to anything, no way for me to verify what was actually in the vial.
I wasn't experimenting on people. I was working in a small research context where the integrity of the reagent mattered, and that single incident cost me a month of work and a meaningful chunk of money. When I started talking to other researchers in similar positions, I realised this wasn't an unusual story. It was the normal one. Customs holds, mislabelled vials, in-house lab reports nobody could verify, suppliers who went silent the moment something went wrong - this was the standard experience.
So I started Black & White Peptides Ltd to be the opposite of that. The whole proposition is that you should never have to wonder whether your supplier is actually shipping you what's on the label. Three commitments do that work, and they're the ones I won't compromise on.
These three are non-negotiable from the day we started:
Not "tested by us". Not "tested by our supplier". Independently tested by Janoshik Analytical - a Czech third-party laboratory that we don't own, don't pay extra to keep happy, and have no commercial influence over. Where a Janoshik report exists for the batch, it ships with the order with a unique verification code. You can match the code yourself; you don't have to take our word for it.
Stock held in the UK. Dispatched the same day on weekday orders before 2pm. Royal Mail Tracked 24 as standard. No imports for you to worry about, no two-week customs waits, no border seizures. The compound moves from our shelf to your door on a single tracked label.
WhatsApp and email are answered by us, not by a chatbot or an outsourced support firm. Most messages get a reply within minutes during UK working hours. If something does go wrong, you're talking to the people who can actually fix it - not a ticket queue.
We don't make therapeutic claims. We don't supply for human consumption. We don't give dosing advice or protocols. We don't pretend to be a pharmacy. Everything we sell is supplied as a research-grade reference reagent for in-vitro and laboratory use only - the same legal frame as Sigma-Aldrich, Cayman Chemical, Tocris and other established research-chemical suppliers. If you want to know more about how that legal framework works, our UK legality guide walks through it in plain English.
We also don't promise the cheapest price on the internet. There are suppliers in Asia who'll quote half what we charge. Some of those are great. Some of those will send you a vial that's 60% pure or has the wrong compound entirely or never arrives at all. The point of our model is not to compete on price - it's to remove the gamble.
